This is "Ace Hood",his genres includes R&B, HIP-HOP as well as RAP. He has been signed to number of record labels, both major and Indie.
These includes Def Jam (signed since 2008- till present- major record label), also signed to Universal Republic (signed in 2012-major record label) and Cash Money (signed 2012-indie record label.
However works alongside major record labels such as Republic Records-Distributor). Through my research, I have found out that it's hard for an artists to get signed, to big major labels unless they have previously signed to another record label or for their sample of music must be of good quality.
I have been looking and researching all day into UK HIP-HOP artist, as it's my chosen music genre. In the UK, there is not much market for HIP-HOP genre, as it's based more in the America, meaning that UK artists such as "Rizzle Kicks" (UK HIP-HOP artists) being signed by Universal Island. Universal Island is mostly based in the US, although there are many branched around the world such as UK, Germany and Australia.
